Beach - constantly hassled by vendors, water full of seaweed, most days couldnt go because lifeguard put red flag. Also don't bother with the $200 voucher scam - its just to get you to spend more money than what you already paid. Don't bother complaining to management they just laugh you off and offer no compensation. Pools - another scam: the ones opened to guests are not as big as made out to be on pics: most of those pools are private swim ups for people who pay extra the ones we were allowed to go stunk like the sewer, especially the waterfall that has no chlorine in it before mixing with the rest of the water (gross). Souvenirs like keychains - between $6-9 USD for trash made in china. The gift shop - ITS A SCAM, $35 USD for a cigar? hahahah wtf, you are putting american prices for cigars in the carribean? I get those prices at my local depanneur. Goodluck getting reception to answer your calls, sometimes they don't even pick up. Our trip was ruined by it - we heard very loud music, stomping and the old couple above us having loud sex. Place is outdated and EXTREMELY THIN WALLS YOU HEAR EVERYTHING. The room was clean but DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE OUTSIDE LOOK. The ice cream shop - STAY AWAY it literally has the same fake taste as bubble gum medicine. The 24h cafe shop - man the whipped cream they use to make the coffee drinks left a bad smell on your face/lips and we proceeded to have nausea afterward. Goodluck with the slow service too - drinks you order never come, never seen such a lost and lazy staff. Sometimes they would just close the buffet without warning on some nights, but I guess that's ok because the food at the buffet is some of the worst I've ever seen, everything is cold, stale version of a small sandwich that was it! only hot station that we could stomach was the pizza. Restaurants were a disaster - overcrowded, long waiting times, EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF - my girlfriend and I went to the French restaurant Mercure, we've never felt so uncomfortable by the staff - staring, passing sarcastic remarks about us not enjoying the food (appetizer was cold chicken bricked into a solid cube.nasty), and one waitress dropped the creme brulee on my girlfriend digging her fingers in it and didn't even replace it. As soon as you arrive, they make you sign this waiver and don't explain any of the hotel amenities, check out time, etc you are pretty much left to fend for yourself. first day we arrive our luggage is held hostage to be taken up to you 30 MINUTES LATE when we are just trying to settle down, this made us very uncomfortable. Where do I begin with this nightmare of a place.
